This is the bracket this year (click on it to enlarge)

Opening round.
TCU and Wyoming are both having down years. Neither have a chance at the tourney, but for the moral victory of playing BYU. I give the edge to Wyoming. TCU has not won a game since January 12th against interestingly enough, the Wyoming Cowboys. Wyoming has had its own share of struggles, but have found ways to at least stay in games, and win one or two of them.
Winner: Wyoming
#1 BYU v #8 Wyoming
This SHOULD be a no brainer. BYU just beat up Wyoming at home to end the regular season. But, BYU is still trying to find out who they are again after losing Center Brandon Davies. I think Jimmer will show up, and will let BYU cruise to an easy victory.
Winner: BYU
#4 CSU v. #5 UNM
This is a very big game in the tourney. If New Mexico wins this game, BYU will be very, very scared to face them. Not to doubt Colorado State, they have turned themselves around from last year, and have a big inside presence. You also can't give home field to anyone in this game, being that both schools are very close to the same distance apart. I however, have a good feeling that Colorado State will find a way to get the job done. There inside game is just so good, that I think that New Mexico can't match up. Colorado State split the regular season series with UNM, winning by six at home. But lost at UNM earlier in the year by seven. This as well should be a well fought game, but Colorado State, led by Ogide will fight on to face BYU.
Winner: CSU
I will have the next two games on the next blog entry.
